The Peabody Municipal Light Plant (PMLP) is now offering our customers a new convenient way to view and pay your electric bills via the internet. PMLP has partnered with Metropolitan Communications(MCC) to provide the eBill service. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the PMLP website.

What is eBill?

The eBill system uses bill information directly sent from the PMLP and posts it on the eBill website so customers can view and pay their bill.

Is it safe?

eBill accepts payments using a secure encrypted webpage. This is the highest standard in Internet security. All information is stored in a secured database to prevent unauthorized access to the data. All information is kept private, and is not shared.

How do I use eBill?

TO GET STARTED with eBill, go to: www.pmlp.com/billpay-signup.html After the online registration page is completed and the account is activated, customers can authorize electronic transfers from their bank account, credit card or debit card. To process payment you will need your PMLP Customer Account Number and Meter Number, which is readily available on your monthly billing statement.

RETURNING USERS may go here to sign in: www.pmlp.com/billpay-login.html

Accepted Payment Types

eBill accepts electronic ACH transactions, posted directly from the customer’s checking or savings account. eBill also accepts credit and debit card transactions from MasterCard & Discover only.

How much does the service cost?

ACH transactions will be assessed a convenience fee charge of $0.35 per payment. Credit and debit card transactions will be assessed a convenience fee charge of approximately 3% of the payment amount. The amount of the convenience fee will be automatically added to your payment amount at checkout. There are no fees imposed by MCC for returned payments, however, PMLP reserves the right to charge a $30.00 fee to your electric account if the return is due to insufficient or uncollected funds. In addition, your bank may charge you a fee based on your bank’s fee schedule.
