Pipeline Awareness

PMLP operates an underground natural gas pipeline that runs between Danvers, MA and Peabody, MA, and has developed a Public Awareness Program to provide basic safety information to people living and working in the general vicinity of the pipeline.

Living and Working Safely Near a Natural Gas Pipeline (PDF) Opens in new windowThe PMLP natural gas pipeline is used to supply natural gas for the clean and efficient production of electricity at the Waters River power plant adjacent to Waters River off Pulaski Street in Peabody. PMLP is the operator and owner of the Waters River plant, a 60-megawatt generating plant that uses both natural gas and oil to produce electricity.

Public Awareness

PMLP contacts people living and working in the general vicinity of its natural gas pipeline annually via direct mailings to provide information about pipeline safety.
